Lets see, 2010.....
New Super Mario, Wii Fit Plus, Mario Galaxy 2, Zelda Wii Likely, Pikmin Perhaps, Metroid Other M, lots of 3rd party stuff....
Pobre-cito, mis Nintendo. My heart aches for them. |

Reply with quote | #17 | Steer, EVERY year is a bad year for Nintendo for people that simply aren't fans of them. I have to agree, though, that 2010 is a great year for the system, if you pay any attention to games! On top of the games that Steer already mentioned:
-Tatsunoko vs. Capcom -Fragile(I'm psyched about this one!) -Monster Hunter Tri -Possibly Dragon Warrior X -Sin and Punishment 2 -Castlevania Rebirth(I don't think we'll see it before the year is up)
That's a pretty good list for the first part of the year. I don't understand what anti-Wii gamers play because, as somebody that divides his time pretty evenly between the PS3 and Wii, there's never a shortage of things to play on either system! |

So you want me to get fired up about "possible" game releases???? LMAO! New Super Mario Brothers (should be called, rehashed Super Mario Brothers from what I have read) is a 2009 release and Wii Fit Plus is already out. So that leaves one confirmed game from your list; Galaxy 2. Metroid M is nothing more then Ninja Gaiden for the Wii. It must pain you Steer, being a N Fanboy and all that you can list but one lousy game for 2010 that is worth playing. I love going into Gamestop and seeing the walls lined with used Wii's. The only reason mine isn't up their because I am truly fired up about Galaxy 2. Steer you should change your name to "Defender of Nintendo". It's sad that when somebody makes a comment you are the first one to post a reply. I think you should get some help; your narcissism is at an all time high. |

Reply with quote | #20 | Mig - I never asked you to be fired up about anything. Also I did not list the games I am 'fired up to buy' - that would not include Metroid, but -
If I were them I would be more concerned about their Wii as the fad is on its way out. 2010 is going to be a very bad year for the Wii. - Mig Alley A fad on its way out? A very bad year for Wii? Those '2009' games will sell MILLIONS in 2010 - heck, add Sports Resort and probably Mario Kart and Wii PLay to that list if you like...
Should I be 'laughing my ass off'? Or should I feed your delusions?
Don't worry Mig - you are right - Mario is a rip off, and Zelda will never see the light of day. I was just hoping for another 6 months of life for the Wii, and I got excited looking at my self in the mirror.
My bad.
N. - Defender
P.S. - hope you get over the 10 hour threshold for Galaxy 2 - remember how boring you found the first one? I guess you are a glutten for punsihment.... |

Reply with quote | #21 | That's why I posted that list of games, Mig, to illustrate that there are people who don't see the library as a joke. If you do, that's perfectly fine, but there are people who see New Super Mario Bros. as game of the year(though I personally don't think it'll come anywhere close to delivering the experience that was Uncharted 2, for the record). I thought the system hit a big lull in mid 2008 that lasted all the way up to mid 2009, but they are getting games. I think the problem is is that those games don't cater to "the hardcorz" who buy Call of Duty(really, how many people are excited for the crapped-out port of CoD4 for the Wii?) and games of that ilk? How many people even bothered with Muramasa and how many people will bother with A Boy and His Blob? The game gets outstanding games, but the majority of them are sadly overlooked niche titles.
Face it, Mig, that most gamers are uneducated idiots that pick a couple of things to hate about a system and run with it. Listing good games is really the only defense somebody has when somebody else trashes the system.
As for the new ds, it doesn't affect me because it's not marketed to me. I've gotta go with Steer on this one. I plan on picking up a ds-i later this year(stepson broke my lite) but if I really wanted one of those hulking beasts, I'd wait for it. Not interested, therefore it's not worth my time. |

Reply with quote | #22 | Sorry for the double post:
I was actually going to mention that, Steer. I'm going to have to dig up the old thread, but didn't you call Super Mario Galaxy overtly easy and boring? If so, why would you be excited to simply play more of it?
Also, why would you assume that Other M is nothing more than Ninja Gaiden on Wii? Besides, that kinda thing should excite you since one of your BIG complaints about Nintendo is the lack of "hardcore" games! Well, you don't get much more "hardcore" than Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden titles! Speaking of which, how can you automatically assume that it'll just be a copy-and-paste clone? Oh, is it because of the only information released about the game: a two minute trailer shown at E3?
Dude, I'll admit that Steer's constant defending of Nintendo is capable of reaching annoying levels(no offense, Steer) but your infatuation with everything that sucks about them is equally annoying. I'd find it easier to swallow if you didn't overreach. You seem so preoccupied with finding things to complain about. Your saving grace? You like Uncharted 2(game of the year!)! |

I like how I 'contantly defend nintendo'...lol?
Who criticises junkware like WARIOware, Mario Party, and the like? Yup me
Who told the truth on how overrated smash bros was - even when the critic buckled to the pressure - I did!
Who is capable of criticising the Zelda and Metroid Franchises that some here place next to Ayn Rand? Me
Who is the lone defender of giving the PSP GO a fair shot and realisitic expectations? Me again.
Who here has NEVER played pokemon? - Yup you got it - me.
Who rips the Nintendo charachter fandom on this sight that is irrespective to games and based on cartton charachter love - me, the truth teller.
Who did not go out and buy MP3 Trilogy and NPC titles cause I am to go a consumer for that? Yeah - me!
Who here pointed out what bust B-WarsWii and Super Paper Mario were - me!
I am fair and balanced - 10 years from now pll wil have a very, very differnet ttitude and opinion about XBOX 360, but I won't. And yours will match mine. There will be no nostalgia for a door stop. |

Reply with quote | #27 | To be fair, Steer, anybody can compile a "pat-myself-on-the-back" list.
-I didn't buy Metroit Prime Trilogy either. I enjoyed it the first time around.
-I have my qualms with the Zelda series. Personally, I think it's vastly overrated. Also, I get a little tired of hearing people constantly whine "where's the new Zelda?!"
-I saw Wii Fit Plus as every bit the dlc-on-disc it was as well.
-Warioware as junkware? I wouldn't go that far. If anything, I think Warioware was Nintendo's first step towards being the company they are today. When the first game came out, it was mindblowingly fun for me! It's a rare franchise that, for me, has no bad games. Mario Party sucks, though.
-I've never played Pokemon either. No interest.
I think your last two posts have spoken more about you than years of posting have. I'm not trying to be a jerk about this, as you have posted some very well thought out posts in the past, but the past two posts don't say anything about you except that you may be a tad arrogant at times. I think that may be it, after all of this time. I may be alone in my assessment, but your last two posts came off as painfully arrogant. If my assessment is wrong, I apologize. |

As for the 360, only time will tell. |
